Yes, I'm a day or two late in posting this, I know -- but I have a semi-valid excuse! ...kinda... ¬_¬;;
I have been modifying some new cargo combats for my cosplay, to replace the usual jeans, which after 3 years of service, have now had their day. The new cargos are tentative replacements, and indeed I may replace these as well for a similar but more apropriately-colured pair for the Year 5 milestone of my 'Hydroknight: Human Variant' cosplay. We'll see how they fare at Expo in a fortnight's time.
Speaking of which! A regular smorgasbord of guests have been announced for both MCM and Memorabilia since my last entry; frankly there are too many to list, so I will simply post the links to the MCM Special Guests and Memorabilia pages for your delectation. Nothing mentioned about what dealers have signed up yet, which irks me; I have figures I want to pick up, and if no-one at Expo is carrying them, then I might as well just order them online sooner rather than later. Also, Games at Expo have yet to release a list of titles which will be playable over the weekend, though we do have a list of the usual suspects for publishers; see here.
What a pain in the arse-end. Two weeks out, and the very most we know is that certain special guests will be attending, and that's it. If it were any other event I'd call it ridiculous, but hey-ho, it's Expo, and they do like to keep their secrets until the last minute, much as it pisses everyone off. Lots of Comic Village artists have been listed, too, but I am disappoint to note a distinct absence of StupidFox creator and the ever-popular Simon's Cat, both of whom were in attendance last October, and I was looking forward to visiting them both again.
Back to the subject of my Hydroknight cosplay, I think it's pretty-much finished now, and I hope to have some pre-Expo images ready for my Gallery before the event itself, but I make no promises. So you'll just have to wait and see. I won't have nearly so many as when helped me out with that photoshoot for Expo #20/2011, but I'll probably have a good handful, courtesy of my Drift HD Ghost.
Well, I think that's pretty much it for now. If I hear anything interesting in the next two weeks, I'll edit this as usual. But if not, rest assured, my next post will come from Expo itself.
Peace out, guys!

Why is This Not A Thing?!
So it's just occurred to me, after a few minutes of wondering confusedly why this wasn't working, that we can't move existing collections into other existing collections, in either our Galleries or Favourites. Say for example, I have 3 folders in my Favourites: - Teen Titans - Teen Titans Fiction - Teen Titans Ikuzo! (a series of pieces where a fan artist redesigned the characters with a Japanese Feudal Era aesthetic) Now, I'd like to move the latter two folders into the first one to help streamline my Favourites tab, because I have nearly 50 folders in there, and the new system where we constantly have to click arrows to move folders around one space at a time is fragging irritating. I'd also like to sort several other collections into supercollections, like, say, Favourite Artists. But for some reason, this isn't a thing we can do. Click Move To> in the context menu, and moving a folder into another existing folder isn't possible; it just blinks at you stupidly. It seems to me that
Entry #39a - The Long One (Part 1)
Hey all! London MCM Comic Con 30 has come and gone, and it's journal time. Apologies for the long delay, I've been waiting for a couple things to turn up so I could take photos. “Pics or it didn't happen”, right? :P
So, time for the after-action report and loot count. It was, as always, a great time overall. The journey to London was mostly uneventful, save for the first leg of the trip, where we had a not-so-great start to the morning; our train to Cardiff arrived on-time, but sat around for 20mins as they were having mechanical problems with one of the doors, and basically the train physically couldn't depart the station until
Entry #48 - One Week and Counting...
Well, it's almost that time of year again. In exactly 8 days time, me and the lads will be leaving for London, and the MCM Expo -- pardon me, the London MCM Comic Con, as it's known these days. We're heading up on the train this year, for a change of pace (truth be told, Brad's decided he doesn't like travelling long distances by bus, and who can blame him? Who really wants to be all cramped and shit on a three- or four-hour bus trip?), and we'll also have our good mate ~Gothic-Lycan (https://www.deviantart.com/gothic-lycan) with us for his first big con. Don't know if he'll post photos of his outfit - he should, though; it looks badass! - but head over to his page and check out
Entry #47 - New Acquisitions!
Well, it's that time of year again...but unfortunately, I won't be going to the MCM Expo this October; plans are afoot to attend in May next year instead, but that's a long way off yet. So, to cheer myself up, I basically went shopping...and found me some treasures. =D
Unite Warriors Technobots and COMPUTRON!These guys were a special purchase for me; I've never owned the Technobots before, and Hasbro's Combiner Wars equivalent, while appealing to some, was really not much more in my eyes than a set of glorified repaints and minor retools. Takara's UW version is vastly superior, and easily the better option for completing my collection of the
